  • Smartwatches (non-educational use)
  • Portable gaming devices (e.g., Nintendo Switch)
  • Music players, headphones, or Bluetooth speakers
Inappropriate Items
  • Toys, keychains(not more than 5), stuffed animals, or fidget spinners (unless approved)
  • Playing cards, Idol cards, dice, or items associated with gambling
Food and Drinks
  • Chewing gum
  • Energy drinks, sugary sodas, or unapproved snacks
Miscellaneous Items
  • Comic books, magazines, or posters with inappropriate content
  • Unauthorized sports equipment (e.g., skateboards, rollerblades)
2 (Moderate) Restricted Substances
  • Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping devices
  • Tobacco products
  • Unauthorized medications or health supplements
Sharp Objects
  • Small pocket knives, razor blades, or scissors
  • Tools (e.g., screwdrivers, utility knives) without approval
Unauthorized Electronics
  • Personal recording devices (cameras, voice recorders)
  • Laptops or tablets used without teacher permission
Inappropriate Clothing
  • Clothing or accessories with offensive logos/images
  • Chains, spikes, or heavy metal accessories
3 (Serious) Weapons and Tools
  • Firearms, ammunition, or explosives

Flammable Items

  • Laser pointers used to distract or harm
  • Signal jammers or unauthorized Wi-Fi devices
Offensive Digital Content
  • Devices containing violent, adult, or illegal content
  • Hacking tools, software, or devices

Level 1 Offense

Category Description
Misconduct in Class
  • Disrupting others/distraction & misbehaving
  • Refusing to conform to school rules, norms, and practices
  • Telling lies
  • Getting others into trouble
  • Name calling & unpleasant remarks
  • Disturbing others in class, school bus, school compound
  • Improper attire & hairstyle
  • Eating in class (unless with the consent of a teacher)
  • Failure to bring schoolbooks or required materials
  • Not doing assignments
  • Plagiarism/copy other's work
  • Leaving school without permission
  • Speaking other languages other than English (except for particular language class)
  • Sleeping/napping in class
Misconduct in School
  • Bringing food & drinks out of designated areas
  • Use of handphone and other unauthorized electronic and mobile devices during curriculum time
  • Bringing of toys/cards & electronic game sets
  • Failure to return cutlery in the canteen
  • Failure to observe rules during pre-assembly
  • Late-coming (1–5 times)
  • Verbal abuse
  • Littering
Causing Harm to Others
  • Rough play that doesn’t result in injury
  • Verbal abuse or name-calling
  • Spread rumors or minor unpleasant remarks about others

Level 2 Offense

Category Description
Misconduct in Class
  • Major disruption of class and school events.
  • Refuse to obey instructions/defiance/constant signs of rebelling.
  • Rudeness and disrespect in speech or body language.
  • Repeated incidences of harassment & verbal bullying.
  • Persistently disturbing others in class, school bus, school compound.
  • Forging of signature.
  • Improper attire & hairstyle: after repeated warnings.
  • Persistent failure to bring schoolbooks or required materials.
  • Not turning in class work, homework, project work, etc., without a valid reason.
  • Leaving school premises without consent; skipping of ECA, remedial &/or supplementary classes.
Misconduct in School
  • Late coming (6 or more times).
  • Using bad language.
  • Defying school prefects.
  • Engage in romantic relationships while on school premises or during school hours.
Causing Harm to Others
  • Misusing of internet & electronic mail.
  • Isolated acts of violence/fighting.
  • Deliberate destruction of others’ work.
  • Minor vandalism.
  • Isolated incidents of fighting or minor physical harm.
  • Theft or shoplifting from others.

Level 3 Offense

Category Description
Misconduct in Class
  • Insubordination, disrespect for authority, willful disobedience to teachers.
  • Open defiance and/or rudeness.
  • Recalcitrant violation of the school dress code.
  • Truancy.
Misconduct in School
  • Late-coming (3rd Yellow Letter in a semester or late more than 18 times in a semester, whichever comes first).
  • Habitual vulgarity & coarse/abusive language including offensive hand signs.
  • Possession of undesirable material & publication (such as pornography and banned materials).
  • Smoking/Drugs/Alcohol abuse related offenses.
  • Cheating in exams.
Causing Harm to Others
  • Harassment/Bullying via ICT & social media.
  • Stealing/Shoplifting/Extortion of property belonging to others.
  • Aggressive violent behavior causing deliberate physical injury & harm to others.
  • Attack/Assault/Fighting/Rioting, with or without weapons.
  • Vandalism/Writing graffiti on school/public building/property.
  • Arson/Planting explosives or setting property on fire, whether attempted or actual.
  • Gambling/Using money in games/Betting.
  • Gangsterism/Being involved in gang assault/Threat.
  • Harassment, whether attempted or actual.
  • Possession of weapons, self-made or bought.
  • Sexual misconduct.
  • Inappropriate touching and contact.
